These terms and conditions are applicable for all clients of www.geoiceland.is, and affiliated companies and websites of The Enterprise ehf, the owner of www.geoiceland.is.
Website Conditions
By using www.geoiceland.is or any GeoIceland affiliated website, you agree to be legally bound by these terms, which shall take effect immediately.
If you do not agree to be legally bound by all the following Terms & Conditions, please do not use GeoIceland or affiliated websites.
GeoIceland may change these Terms & Conditions at any time by posting changes online. Please review these Terms & Conditions regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made by GeoIceland. Your continued use of geoiceland.is or a GeoIceland-affiliated websites after changes are posted, means you agree to be legally bound by these terms as updated and/or amended.
You agree to use geoiceland.is and GeoIceland-affiliated websites only for lawful purposes, and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of GeoIceland.
Your use of geoiceland.is or any GeoIceland-affiliated sites is intended for personal, use and/or to make legitimate requests to book the products or services offered, or sell the services you offer. You agree not to use this site to make any speculative, false or fraudulent requests. You agree not to use robots or other automated means to access this site, unless specifically permitted by GeoIceland.
You represent and warrant that you (a) have not previously been suspended by GeoIceland or otherwise banned from the site; (b) are not a direct competitor of GeoIceland; (c) do not have more than one GeoIceland account at any given time; and (d) that you have full power and authority to enter into these Terms of Service and in doing so will not violate any other agreement to which you are a party.
We grant you permission to use the site subject to the restrictions in these Terms & Conditions. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, download, post, broadcast, transmit, make available to the public, or otherwise use content owned by GeoIceland (inclusive of text, images, URLs, pricing information, etc.) in any way except for your own personal use. Any commercial use of GeoIceland content requires the prior written permission of GeoIceland.
Booking Conditions
GeoIceland confirms a booking from geoiceland.is when a booking has been made by a client. Once GeoIceland has accepted a booking, the contract between GeoIceland and client will become binding. The client is bound to show up at the departure point at published time and pay the rest of the tour fee, and GeoIceland is bound to deliver the tour. Conditions on cancelling can be found below.
Client Responsibility
Upon booking you confirm that you have studied and familiarized yourself with the terms and conditions of GeoIceland and fully agree to all terms and conditions. You also confirm that you fulfill all conditions set by GeoIceland and are physically able to follow our instructions and partake in all activities planned for you and operated by us. If unsure please contact our office.
Parents and/or legal guardians take full responsibility of damages caused by passengers they are responsible for. Children (under 18 years in accordance of Icelandic law) cannot use the services of GeoIceland without accompanying parent or legal guardian.
Our Liability & Compensation
GeoIceland will accept liability for the negligence of its employees causing direct physical injury to passengers only to the extent that it is obliged under Icelandic law. GeoIceland cannot be held responsible for any mishap to yourself or your property, and in particular for the consequences of flight cancellations, vehicle accidents, strikes, sickness, Government, weather, customs and/or police intervention or other such happenings amounting to force majeure. By confirming your booking with GeoIceland you acknowledge that we have taken all reasonable steps to safeguard our liability in this respect. GeoIceland reserves the right to suspend passengers from our tours and services if the client is inebriated or shows unacceptable or improper behavior.
Cancellation Policies
Day Tour cancellation policy
The client is able to cancel the tour up until 24 hours prior to departure without a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is 100% of the tour fee if cancelled within 24 hours from departure of the tour.
Private Tour cancellation policy
The client is able to cancel the tour up until 2 days prior to departure with a cancellation fee of 20%. The cancellation fee is 100% of the tour fee if cancelled within 48 hours from departure of the tour.
Tailor made, Packages and Multi day services cancellation policy
You or any member of your party may cancel your booking at any time providing that the cancellation is made in writing to GeoIceland. You will receive a prompt refund of the amount paid (excluding any amendment charge if there are any) less the cancellation fees specified below:
Please note that our cancellation terms are dependent on the itinerary and on our suppliers’ cancellation policies.
Cancellation of one or more passengers within a group may cause a price increase for the group or a cancellation fee as detailed above.
We strongly recommend that all our clients take out comprehensive travel insurance. If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim some or all of the cancellation charges.
Shore Excursions Cancellation fee
For the cruise ships, the cancellation policy does not apply if the ship does not make it to the harbor. In case of the ship not reaching the pier, you’ll receive a refund with a cancellation fee of 20%. Otherwise normal cancellation fee for day tours applies.
Changes and Cancellations by GeoIceland
Before you enter into a contract with us, we reserve the right to change any of the facilities or services described in our brochure or website. We also reserve the right to cancel the booking do to weather or if minimum number of passengers of a departure is not met. Any changes are usually very minor and we will advise you at the earliest possible date. If a major change, such as change in departure time, becomes necessary, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible your tours begins. When a major change or cancellation occurs you will have the choice of accepting the change of arrangements, purchasing another available tour from us, or cancelling your tour. If booking is cancelled we will refund all payments made directly to us in respect of the tour price. We will not refund any personal expenses you may have incurred as a result of your booking such as flight payments for land-only tours, travel insurance, equipment purchases, visas, vaccinations etc.
Change Fees
If a client requests a change of itinerary for a confirmed booking, we will not charge a fee, other than the price difference of services provided. If the fee is less, we will refund the difference, excluding the deposit fee.
